So now I am really interested and I visit Elizabeth Gilbert's website. It is there I discover something more than expected. For you creative minds out there, Elizabeth gives a talk for TED and what begins as a nervous commentary, soon impresses as a soulful "take" on how to understand divine creative intervention; those brilliant ideas we know not where they came from. One of my most popular designs came in a dream. I literally woke up with the idea for Celeste. But mostly, I spend hours on ideas and even more on getting those ideas out there.
After visiting TED, you will discover other great talks, including ones from James Cameron and (one I thoroughly enjoyed) Steve Jobs - "Trust that the dots will connect down the road." With that, I'll spend the rest of the day designing fabric, trusting that however I create, whether I design knitwear, fabric or a room; whether I write stories, poems or greeting cards, I am showing up for work.
